User Access Management

An FHA Catalyst Mortgagee Administrator must first be established as an active FHA Connection (FHAC) Application Coordinator. All active FHAC Application Coordinators are granted FHA Catalyst Mortgagee Administrator privileges by default. Activation and Termination of Mortgagee Administrator accounts must be done in FHA Connection.

Mortgagee Administrators can perform the following actions on behalf of their organization:

• Set up new users.
• Manage existing user information, including name and contact details.
• Assign module access and permissions to users.
• Deactivate user access.
  • As a security measure, the system will automatically freeze users who have not accessed the system in more than 90 days.
• View users in their organization, including other Mortgagee Administrators, and user reports.
• Transfer Case Binders to other users in their organization.

The actions above can be performed by Mortgagee Administrators for the following modules only:

• FHA Catalyst: Case Binder Module
• FHA Catalyst: Single Family Default Monitoring System (SFDMS) Module
• FHA Catalyst: Claims Module

Access for New Mortgagee Administrators

All FHAC Application Coordinators will become FHA Catalyst Mortgagee Administrators by default, and should refer to the FHA Catalyst Mortgagee Administrator Role User Guide for guidance related to the role.

New FHAC Application Coordinators will receive a registration link from [email protected] delivered to the email address entered in FHA Connection. If the email was not received, send the new FHAC Application Coordinator's name, M-ID, and the five digit lender ID to [email protected] with the subject line: FHA Catalyst Mortgagee Administrator access request.

Claims Module

The FHA Catalyst: Claims Module has modernized the claim submission process for servicers of FHA-insured mortgages by eliminating paper claim submission. It is used by servicers of FHA-insured mortgages for all single-family forward mortgage claim types.

This state-of-the-art automation eliminates redundant work, provides error check processes, and enhances data integrity, leading to more accurate and efficient submissions. The platform also provides real-time access to claims data submissions, which offers tracking capabilities for servicers and FHA.

In addition, reporting and dashboard capabilities are available in the Claims Module. These reports are available at the following frequencies: daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly. The dashboard features:

• All submitted claims by claim type and by the submitter;
• The number of suspended, rejected or deleted, and paid claims;
• The number of claims paid with the requested and actual claim amounts; and
• Bulk upload claims summaries with completed successfully and failures.
