HUD Announces Jason Loughran as New York and New Jersey Regional Administrator

NEW YORK, N.Y. – U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Secretary Scott Turner announced the appointment of Jason Loughran as the Regional Administrator for New York and New Jersey (Region II).

“Jason Loughran’s experience navigating complex policy issues, combined with his distinguished service as a decorated U.S. Navy veteran, makes him a strong addition to HUD’s leadership team,” said HUD Secretary Scott Turner. “Together, we will continue to deliver meaningful results for Americans across New York and New Jersey.”

Most recently, Loughran was Senior Advisor for Intergovernmental Affairs at the New York City Department of Veterans’ Services. A U.S. Navy veteran, Loughran served in Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom, earning a Presidential Unit Citation. Loughran holds a Bachelor of Science in Homeland Security from St. John's University and an Executive Master of Public Administration from the Marxe School of Public and International Affairs at Baruch College.

“I'm honored to serve Secretary Turner as Regional Administrator for New York and New Jersey at a time when soaring costs have put the American Dream out of reach for too many families,” said Regional Administrator Jason Loughran. “Region Two is committed to advancing affordable housing solutions that restore hope, unlock opportunity, and put the American people first."

As Regional Administrator for New York and New Jersey, Loughran will support Secretary Turner in expanding access to affordable housing, promoting community revitalization, and unlocking homeownership opportunities for Americans in rural, tribal, and urban communities.
