Rental Assistance Demonstration
The Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) program provides a powerful tool to preserve and improve affordable housing currently supported under the public housing, Section 8 Moderate Rehabilitation, Moderate Rehabilitation Single Room Occupancy, and Section 202 and Section 811 Rental Assistance Contract programs. Under RAD, properties are placed under a long-term rental assistance contract, providing long term affordability while maintaining and strengthening resident rights.

RAD for public housing office hours are intended to be a forum for Public Housing Authorities (PHAs) and other stakeholders interested in using RAD or RAD/Section 18 Blends and how these tools can be used to recapitalize their public housing properties. Office Hours for the Exception to the Operating Cost Adjustment in RAD Conversions

RAD Resident Engagement Office Hours are intended to be a forum for residents of properties that are in the process of a RAD conversion or have already converted. All are welcomed to join, including residents, advocates, and other stakeholders who work directly with residents.
