Updated SF Handbook Pre-Recorded Training Webinars. This series of nine pre-recorded training webinars cover the policies that mortgagees use for origination through obtaining a FHA insurance endorsement for Title II forward mortgages. The modules provide an overview of the policies and requirements contained in Sections II.A and II.D of FHA’s Origination through Post-Closing/Endorsement for Title II Forward Mortgages section of the Single Family Housing Policy Handbook 4000.1.

October 25, 2017 – 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM (Eastern) - Webinar I: Overview HUD Early Delinquency Activities and Loss Mitigation Programs (NEW) The Federal Housing Administration’s (FHA) National Servicing Center will provide an overview of FHA-approved servicer requirements to include: early delinquency activity; timelines; general loss mitigation; evaluation of the borrower’s financial condition; and collection best practices. Registration required. No fee.

November 1, 2017 – 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM (Eastern) - Webinar II.1: HUD Loss Mitigation – Option Priority Waterfall, Forbearance Plans and Special Forbearance Option (NEW) The Federal Housing Administration’s (FHA) National Servicing Center will review FHA’s option priority waterfall and the process steps to be followed when evaluating owner-occupant borrowers for home retention options. This webinar also covers guidance on the use of informal and formal forbearance repayment plans; how to review, qualify, and process the special forbearance unemployment home retention option; and the actions required to comply with HUD guidance as stipulated in the Single Family Housing Policy Handbook 4000.1. November 8, 2017 – 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM - Webinar II.2: HUD Loss Mitigation – FHA HAMP Option (NEW) The Federal Housing Administration’s (FHA) National Servicing Center will provide guidance on HUD’s FHA-HAMP Loss Mitigation Home Retention Option. Topics include: how to review, qualify, and use the calculations in HUD’s loss mitigation option priority waterfall to determine which, if any, FHA-HAMP option is most appropriate; and the actions required to comply with HUD guidance as stipulated in the Single Family Housing Policy Handbook 4000.1. Registration required. No fee.

November 15, 2017 – 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM - Webinar III: HUD Loss Mitigation – Home Disposition Options (NEW) The Federal Housing Administration’s (FHA) National Servicing Center will provide guidance on FHA’s loss mitigation home disposition options: the pre-foreclosure sale program and deed-in-lieu. Topics include: the features and benefits of each loss mitigation home disposition option; how to review, qualify, and process each option; and the actions required to comply with HUD guidance as stipulated in the Single Family Housing Policy Handbook 4000.1. Registration required. No fee.

Electronic Class (EClass) on FHA Loss Mitigation & Servicing System:  The EClass System provides additional training on FHA's Loss Mitigation Programs, including FHA's Home Affordable Modification Program (FHA-HAMP), as well as continuing education on loss mitigation & servicing issues that have generated the most industry questions & requests for further training. The EClass System is designed to provide web-based training to HUD-Approved Servicers, HUD-Approved & Nonprofit Housing Counseling Agencies. Find out more...
