SF Handbook Pre-Recorded Training Webinars. This series of pre-recorded training webinars cover the policies that mortgagees use for origination through obtaining a FHA insurance endorsement for Title II forward mortgages. The modules provide an overview of the policies and requirements contained in Sections II.A and II.D of FHA's Origination through Post-Closing/Endorsement for Title II Forward Mortgages section of the Single Family Housing Policy Handbook 4000.1.
August 10, 2021, 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM (Eastern) – FHA Appraisal, Policy, Principals and Practices: This training provides an update on appraisal standards, practices, and policies. Topics for discussion include COVID-19 appraisal practices, Single Family Housing Policy Handbook 4000.1 updates, unbiased appraising and appraiser integrity, FHA Catalyst, minimum property requirements, minimum property standards, deferred maintenance, property flipping and more. This training is not eligible for Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for licensed appraisers. There is no charge for training courses offered by FHA. Advance Registration is required by August 9, 2021. Attendees are encouraged to submit appraisal-related questions in advance to ATLPudTrng@hud.gov which will be addressed by the presenters as time permits. No fee.
August 12, 2021, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM (Mountain) – Completing Today's FHA Appraisal - Commonly Noted Deficiencies: This training covers FHA appraisal requirements, including FHA appraisal protocol and policy as outlined in FHA's Single Family Housing Policy Handbook 4000.1, the Appraisal Report and Data Delivery Guide (ARDDG), and relevant Mortgagee Letters. The training addresses common deficiencies noted in appraisal reviews performed by HUD staff appraisers for FHA forward mortgages, Home Equity Conversion Mortgages (HECM) and Real Estate Owned (REO) properties to determine areas of non-compliance with HUD/FHA regulations and policies. Note: This training is not eligible for Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for licensed appraisers. There is no charge for training courses offered by FHA. Electronic Class (EClass) on FHA Loss Mitigation & Servicing System: The EClass System provides additional training on FHA's Loss Mitigation Programs, including FHA's Home Affordable Modification Program (FHA-HAMP), as well as continuing education on loss mitigation & servicing issues that have generated the most industry questions & requests for further training. The EClass System is designed to provide web-based training to HUD-Approved Servicers, HUD-Approved & Nonprofit Housing Counseling Agencies. Find out more...
