FHA is pleased to offer the following events and training, including a series of updated pre-recorded training modules, covering multiple topics on FHA Single Family Housing policies, processes, and technology.

Updated SF Handbook Pre-Recorded Training Webinars. This series of nine pre-recorded training webinars cover the policies that mortgagees use for origination through obtaining a FHA insurance endorsement for Title II forward mortgages. The modules provide an overview of the policies and requirements contained in Sections II.A and II.D of FHA's Origination through Post-Closing/Endorsement for Title II Forward Mortgages section of the Single Family Housing Policy Handbook 4000.1.

July 17, 2018, 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM (Central) - FHA Underwriting Training – This free, on-site training will provide a wide-range of topics, including: FHA's Single Family Housing Policy Handbook 4000.1 (featuring topics such as underwriting the FHA appraisal and endorsement protocols); Loan Review System (LRS); and much more. July 18, 2018, 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM (Central) - FHA Appraisal Training - This free, on-site training will cover FHA appraisal requirements, including FHA appraisal protocol and updates to FHA appraisal policy as outlined in FHA's Single Family Housing Policy Handbook 4000.1. This training also takes an in-depth look at a variety of appraisal-related topics including: property acceptability criteria; minimum property requirements; property defects; appraiser responsibilities and requirements; and much more. July 18, 2018, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM (Eastern) - FHA Underwriting Training (On-site only) – This free, on-site training will provide an overview of FHA underwriting procedures and addresses a number of industry-related frequently asked questions as outlined in FHA's Single Family Housing Policy Handbook 4000.1. This training will also take an in-depth look at a variety of topics, including: credit, income, and asset (CIA) documentation; manual underwriting; automated underwriting systems (AUS); closing requirements, and more. July 18, 2018, 1:30 PM – 4:30 PM (Eastern) - FHA Appraisal Training (On-site only) – This free, on-site training will provide an overview of the appraisal requirements outlined in FHA's Single Family Housing Policy Handbook 4000.1. The training topics will include discussions on the FHA Appraiser Roster and the appraisal validity period, as well as requirements for property inspections, manufactured homes, water and septic systems, and attic and crawl space inspections. August 13, 2018, 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM (Eastern) - FHA Appraiser and Underwriting the Appraisal Training - Atlanta, GA This is FREE FHA ON-SITE training intended for appraisers and underwriters, including mortgage loan professionals, loan officers and property inspectors. This training addresses industry FAQ’s on Handbook 4000.1. Discussions to include policy changes and clarifications, updates on topics such as: property acceptability criteria, underwriting the appraisal, minimum property requirements, property defective conditions, enhanced appraiser and underwriter responsibilities and requirements, programs and products (i.e. 203(K)) and much more. August 14, 2018, 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM (Eastern) - FHA Credit Underwriting Training - Atlanta, GA This is FREE FHA ON-SITE training intended for mortgage professionals, including underwriters, processors, and loan officers. The training is to assist in addressing industry FAQ’s on Handbook 4000.1. Discussions to include changes, policy clarifications and updates in topics such as CIA (credit, income and asset) documentation, Manual Underwriting, AUS, closing and more. Registration required. No fee.

August 15, 2018, 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM (Eastern) - FHA Condo Training - Atlanta, GA This is FREE FHA ON-SITE HALF-DAY training. This Condo training is to assist in addressing industry FAQ’s on Condominium Guidelines and the Condominium Approval process. Discussions to include changes, policy clarifications and updates in mortgagee letters 11-22, 12-18, 15-27, 16-13, 16-15 and 17-13. Registration required. No fee.

August 15, 2018, 1:30 PM - 3:30 PM (Eastern) - 203k Training - Atlanta, GA This free training will provide a review of underwriting the Standard 203k and the Limited 203k products and procedures, discuss eligible properties, possible uses of the 203(k)loan, and appraisal reporting requirements. August 16, 2018, 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM (Eastern) - FHA Appraiser and Underwriting the Appraisal Training - Atlanta, GA This is FREE FHA ON-SITE training intended for appraisers and underwriters, including mortgage loan professionals, loan officers and property inspectors. Electronic Class (EClass) on FHA Loss Mitigation & Servicing System:  The EClass System provides additional training on FHA's Loss Mitigation Programs, including FHA's Home Affordable Modification Program (FHA-HAMP), as well as continuing education on loss mitigation & servicing issues that have generated the most industry questions & requests for further training. The EClass System is designed to provide web-based training to HUD-Approved Servicers, HUD-Approved & Nonprofit Housing Counseling Agencies. Find out more...
