Part of FHA's multi-year IT Modernization initiative, the Case Binder module, is one component of FHA Catalyst, FHA's flexible cloud-based technology platform. This module enables lenders to electronically deliver Single Family Forward and Home Equity Conversion Mortgage (HECM) case binders for pre-endorsement reviews, post-endorsement reviews, test cases, and other files requested by FHA.  This module also allows servicers to electronically deliver servicing records upon request. This system eliminates manual, paper-based processes, leading to increased operational efficiencies.

Who Can Use the FHA Catalyst: Case Binder module?

• All FHA-approved mortgagees (originating lenders and servicers) who were previously required to submit paper case binders to FHA for multiple program participation requirements;
• Mortgagees seeking Unconditional Direct Endorsement authority who are required to submit Test Cases; and
• Mortgagees not approved for electronic Case Binder (eCB) submission through FHA Connection.

FHA will be adding additional functionality to the FHA Catalyst platform in the coming months and years.
