Public Housing is an essential resource that provides stability to millions of Americans, but do they know how to apply? Are they aware of the HUD programs that can advance their goals?

HUD Region II Senior Management Analyst Earleene Sealy hosted a webinar for non-profits, faith-based organizations, and renters titled: "What is Public Housing", which provided information about how to apply for housing, and the multiple programs that can guide residents towards financial stability and independence.

The webinar was held on Microsoft Teams in collaboration with the HUD Office of Public and Indian Housing. Presenters Steve Savarese, Senior Portfolio Management Specialist; and Mandy Clarke, Portfolio Management Specialist; highlighted subsidy requirements and shared details about HUD programs such as HUD-VASH, FSS, ROSS, and Section 3. HUD Region II Deputy Regional Administrator Stephen Murphy welcomed the over 100 attendees, who asked pointed questions and provided for a lively exchange.
