Staff from the Des Moines Field Office along with Great Plains Regional Administrator, Deke Clayborn, and Deputy Regional Administrator, Bruce Ladd, gathered for a luncheon on April 27, 2023, in recognition of Public Service Recognition Week. Regional Administrator Clayborn had the honor of providing recognition to employees in the Des Moines Field Office for their dedicated service.

Those recognized included Carl Rhoads who was presented with a clock to honor his thirty-seven years of Federal and Military Service at the time of his retirement on April 29, 2023. Carl had been a member of the Financial Management Center since 1998, serving in the East Division for the past 25 years. As a Financial Analyst, Mr. Rhoads provided exceptional customer service to many public housing agencies. His portfolio over the years included PHAs in Iowa, Washington, and Indiana. He went above and beyond to provide the best possible answer to agencies by providing detailed explanations communicating HUD’s policies. Carl will be remembered as a good teammate who collaborated with his agencies and team members.

Other recognitions given included Pam Dodge, Multifamily Housing Account Executive, who was presented with her 55 years of service award and Field Office Director, Steve Eggleston, was presented with his 30 years of service award.
