If you are at risk of or experiencing homelessness:

Location	Assistance Information
General/Statewide	Call 211 to be connected to health and human service assistance. You can also go online to 211.org. Contact your local Continuum of Care. They are the organization in your community that can best find you shelter. Call the Illinois Department of Human Services Help Line at 833-234-6343 to be connected to food, medical, shelter, recovery, and other resources.
City of Chicago	Call 311 or 312-744-5000 and ask for “short-term assistance” or “short-term help.” Contact/visit the City of Chicago Community Service Center nearest you to access a range of resources. These also are warming and cooling areas. More information available from All Chicago here.
Suburban Cook County	Call 1-877-426-6515 (8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday) or go online to http://myentrypoint.org/. There are warming and cooling centers for Cook County residents.

Housing instability can be profoundly distressing. If you are struggling, in crisis, or need help for yourself or someone else, please call or text 988 or visit 988lifeline.org to connected with a trained listener.

Veterans Experiencing Homelessness - Contact the National Call Center for Homeless Veterans at (877-424-3838) or visit your closest VA medical center for assistance
Find Shelter - Search for shelters, food pantries, health clinics, and clothing
FindHelp.org - Search and connect to support. Financial assistance, food pantries, medical care, and other free or reduced-cost help.
United Way
Find Your Local Food Bank (Feeding America)
Illinois Department of Human Services - Apply for food assistance (SNAP), healthcare (Medicaid), cash assistance (TANF), and more. Or call (800) 843-6154.
