In the future, lenders will have to call directly to the HUD offices in Washington, D.C. on all Title I matters. As a quick reference, we have listed below the telephone numbers of the offices most frequently called by Title I lenders: . For information on becoming a Title I lender or loan correspondent, adding branch offices, annual recertification, or other matters relating to lender approval, call 202-708-3976. . For information on the status of pending claims or claim repurchases, or for questions on billing, premium payments or loan transfers, call 202-755-7545. . For information or technical assistance on the program regulations and requirements, or for questions on expansion of lending area, dealer or borrower noncompliance, or subordination or release of security, call 202-755-7400. The toll-free telephone service will continue to be available to assist consumers who are requesting information about the program and need the names of approved Title I lenders and loan correspondents in their area.
