Department of Housing and Urban Development Washington, D.C. 20410-8000 June 14, 1995 MORTGAGEE LETTER 95-28 TO: ALL APPROVED MORTGAGEES SPECIAL ATTENTION: Mortgage Lenders Serving Southern California SUBJECT: Single Family Loan Production - Additional Aid to Victims of the Los Angeles Earthquake In Mortgagee Letter 94-10, the Department informed lenders of the provisions in the Emergency Supplemental Appropriations Act of 1994 which was signed into law on February 12, 1994. The additional measures, such as the increase in mortgage limits for Section 203(h) and Section 203(k) and the eligibility of condominiums under Section 203(h), are available for 18 months from the date of the President's declaration and were initially going to expire July 17, 1995 for Los Angeles County and July 19, 1995 for Orange and Ventura Counties. However, the Department has determined that these provisions are available to victims of the earthquake until August 12, 1995. Mortgage insurance applications (HUD-92900-A, the Addendum to URLA) must be signed on or before August 12, 1995 to be eligible.
