MORTGAGEE LETTER 93-18
TO:  ALL APPROVED MORTGAGEES
ATTENTION:  SINGLE FAMILY SERVICING MANAGERS
SUBJECT:  SINGLE FAMILY CLAIM REVIEWS
 
     The Department recently awarded a contract to Gardiner,
Kamya & Associates. P.C. (GKA) to conduct Single Family Claim
Reviews effective May 14, 1993.  GKA will be conducting all
Single Family claim reviews and a number of servicing reviews
for the Department's Office of Lender Activities and Land Sales
Registration.  The Department's previous contractor, Irving
Burton Associates, Inc. (IBA), will no longer conduct claim
reviews for the Department, or any follow-up resolutions
of claims reviews conducted on behalf of the Department.
 
     The new contractor will begin conducting reviews within
60 to 90 days from the date of this letter.  Each mortgagee will
receive a notification letter from the Department when their
review is scheduled to take place.  The Department asks that
mortgagees provide full cooperation to the new contractor in the
performance of these reviews.
