FY 2016-2017 HOPE VI Main Street Funding Information

Main Street Grants Notice of Funding Availability

The FY 2016-2017 Main Street Notice of Funds Availability (NOFA) was issued on April 10, 2015, and announced approximately $500,000 available for award. The deadline date for application submission was April 12, 2016.  Per the FY 2016-17 NOFA, funds will be awarded to eligible applicants that apply in FY 2016 under the above NOFA. FY 2017 funds had not been appropriated for this program as of the publication of this NOFA. Per the NOFA, HUD intended to award a similar grant in FY 2017 to the highest ranking applicant for the FY 2016 NOFA that did not receive a Main Street grant from the NOFA. The award of FY 2017 Main Street funds for FY 2016 applicants was contingent upon future congressional action.

Applicants eligible for Main Street awards are limited to Units of General Local Government (primarily subdivisions of a State) that have a population of 50,000 or fewer and 100 or fewer physical public housing units within the Local Government's jurisdiction and that are otherwise in conformance with the threshold requirements of the NOFA.

During the publication period, the official versions of Main Street NOFAs and their application forms are available on http://www.Grants.gov.  The NOFAs cease to be available from Grants.gov after the deadline date. The CFDA Number for Main Street NOFAs is 14.878.  In order to receive automatic email notice of NOFAs, subscribe to email notifications at Grants.gov.

To enable you to deconstruct, analyze, and cut/paste portions of the NOFA, an unofficial MS Word version of the NOFA, without its required attachments, is located at the below link. The only official version of this NOFA is published on Grants.gov.
