Instructions on Using the Designated Housing Status Report
You can download this DHP Tracking Report to view the status of a Public Housing Agency's (PHA) Designated Housing Plan (DHP). The Designated Housing Status Report is updated bimonthly. Renewal Plans are updated once the PHA's respective Public Housing Field Office submits updated information to HUD's Management and Occupancy Division.
Instructions on Using the DHP/PIC Discrepancy Report
Per notice PIH-2022-03 (HA), PHAs must review and, if needed, correct their portfolios in HUD’s Information Management System/PIH Information Center (IMS/PIC) to ensure that units are in the correct Unit Designation Categories. To assist PHAs in this effort, HUD will periodically publish data highlighting discrepancies between counts of Designated Units by PHA in IMS/PIC and information available to HUD on approved DHPs. You can download the DHP/PIC Discrepancy Report here. Please note that PHAs can search this report by entering their PHA code in the first tab titled ‘Select a PHA’.
Guidance on the Timeframe for Corrections
Notice PIH-2022-03 (HA) requires PHAs to review their portfolios in IMS/PIC to ensure the units are in the correct Unit Designation Categories and Accessible Designation Categories. PHAs were instructed to correct errors within 30 days of publication of the notice and no later than March 31, 2022; and to maintain the accuracy of this information on an ongoing basis. Some PHAs have expressed a need for additional time. PIH staff will continue working with PHAs to correct errors in the Unit Designation Categories and Accessible Designation Categories. To best meet the needs of PHAs with large numbers of changes, PIH plans to offer an option to process bulk changes. PIH expects all corrections to be complete in IMS/PIC by June 30, 2022.
During the annual Capital Fund IMS/PIC Certification, PHAs will certify to the accuracy of their Building and Unit data, including Unit Designations, as of June 30, 2022. As Unit Designation statuses may impact the amount of funding received under the Capital Fund Formula described at 24 CFR 905.400, it is imperative that all necessary changes to Unit Designation Categories are completed in PIC by June 30, 2022.
For more information regarding a PHA's Plan, you can contact the public housing agency or the Public Housing Field Office, or Program Center. PHAs should reach out to their respective field office if additional assistance is needed to correct any errors in IMS/PIC.
