Senior Labor Standards Specialist Melanie Hertel from HUD's Washington State Regional Office will be providing Federal labor standards training in Fairbanks, Alaska. The morning session is designed as a general overview covering topics related to "how-to" comply with federal labor standards responsibilities. The afternoon is focused on the work of government contract administrators tasked with project supervision and enforcement of Federal prevailing wage requirements. Who Should Attend: This morning session is intended for a broad audience of participants including contractors, PHA's, CDBG & HOME agencies. Contractors will be excused at the lunch break, and the focus will shift in the afternoon to the work of the government contract administrator who is tasked to administer and enforce Federal prevailing wage requirements. Registration is free and open to the public.
