What We Do

• Prepare, justify, and monitor the budget including responding to OMB and congressional concerns and questions related to appropriations law
• Establish and maintain financial systems
• Improve departmental management of asset and credit management functions
• Develop a strong internal control program and address material weaknesses in the Department
• Produce audited consolidated financial statements
• Process accounting transactions and payments
• Work with the Office of Strategic Planning and Management in preparing the strategic plan, annual performance plan, and annual performance report
