HUD Sustainability Plan
Executive Order (E.O.) 13693, Planning for Federal Sustainability in the Next Decade, was signed on March 19, 2015. E.O. 13693 requires federal agencies to develop, implement, and annually update an integrated Strategic Sustainability Performance Plan (SSPP).

Additionally, E.O. 13693 requires federal agencies to establish greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets; increase energy efficiency; reduce fleet petroleum consumption; conserve water; reduce waste; support sustainable communities; and leverage Federal purchasing power to promote environmentally-responsible products and technologies.

In order to meet the requirements of E.O. 13693, and to demonstrate commitment to meeting administration sustainability targets and goals, HUD has established a Strategic Sustainability Performance Plan. The HUD Sustainability Plan is annually released to the public and is available online.
