HUD’s Flexiplace Program enable HUD to recruit and retain the best possible workforce, help employees manage long commutes and other work/life issues, lower HUD’s environmental impact, help ensure continuity of essential functions in emergencies, and enable cost savings with real estate footprint reductions. Flexiplace arrangements include:
- Expanded telework options (up to 8 days/bi-weekly pay period),
- Remote work (100% work from home), and
- Mobile work (for positions whose work is characterized by routine and regular travel to conduct work in customer or other varying worksites as opposed to a single authorized agency or alternative worksite).
