This posting provides information and instructions for the FY2016 Healthy Homes Technical Studies program, authorized under sections 501 and 502 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1970 (12 U.S.C. §§ 1701z-1 and 1701z-2). Fiscal Year 2016 funds are authorized under the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2016 (Public Law 114-113), approved on December 18, 2015. The purpose of the Healthy Homes Technical Studies program is to fund technical studies to improve existing methods for detecting and controlling key housing-related health and safety hazards; to develop new methods to detect and control these hazards; and to improve our knowledge of key housing-related health and safety hazards. This notice of funding availability is requesting preliminary applications only. Following the scoring of preliminary applications applicants that submitted the highest scoring preliminary applications will be invited to submit full applications. Full applications will not be reviewed if they are submitted in response to this NOFA.
