HUD Under 5
Helping You Grow Into HUD!
HUD Under 5 is a peer-to-peer Employee Resource Group (ERG) that works to deepen the onboarding process, advocate for new employees, support networking, and facilitate the asking and answering of HUD and employment related questions. We host monthly presentations covering HUD’s programs, offices and history, professional development, and best practices. We also occasionally host sessions focused on employee benefits, pay, retirement, leave, IT systems and operations.
About
HUD Under 5 is an Employee Resource Group (ERG) that aims to enhance the experience of new employees at the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) through peer-to-peer engagement and advocacy. Our group is driven by a grassroots approach that empowers employees to support each other, share knowledge, and ask questions related to their employment and HUD.
Our mission is to foster a supportive environment that deepens the onboarding process, promotes networking, and facilitates the exchange of information on HUD programs, offices, and history. We believe that by creating a community of professionals who support each other, we can contribute to the success of our colleagues and the department overall.
To achieve this goal, we host monthly presentations on professional development, best practices, and HUD-related topics. Additionally, we occasionally organize sessions focused on employee benefits, pay, retirement, leave, IT systems, and operations. By providing these opportunities for learning and collaboration, we aim to empower employees with the information and resources they need to thrive at HUD.
Mission Statement
To advocate for new HUD employees by fostering a connected HUD community through networking, learning and mentorship.
