HUD Agency Head Stressed the Importance of Long-Term Aid for Disaster Impacted Communities at Senate Hearing

The Honorable Adrianne Todman made the case for disaster recovery funding to rebuild housing.


WASHINGTON
- On Wednesday, November 20, 2024, Agency Head of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Adrianne Todman testified before the U.S. Senate Committee on Appropriations and reasserted the agency’s commitment to supporting Americans who have been impacted by natural disasters, this year. Her testimony was in support of President Biden’s supplemental funding request which includes $12 billion for. the Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR).

"As we head into the Thanksgiving holiday, I will remain hopeful and prayerful, that Congress will approve disaster recovery funds for the many families who are looking to us to help them rebuild their communities. They need our help, now.” HUD Agency Head Adrianne Todman.
