The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program has been supporting communities since its enactment by Congress in 1974. This one-of-a-kind program reaches every corner of the country from urban cities to rural towns and populations in between, primarily serving low-to-moderate income populations. Funds are used to address critical and unmet community needs including those for housing rehabilitation, public facilities, infrastructure, job creation, public services, and more.
