HOPWA Performance Reporting Requirements, September 9, 2004
(2 hours, 10 minutes)
This broadcast will improve the capacity of HUD field office staff
to assess the HOPWA projects conducted by grantees in their jurisdictions
and provide guidance to grantees for submitting required performance
reports. The session will address the importance of performance
reporting and new tools for outcome measurements, discussions on
critical issues, recent revisions and changes to the Annual Progress
Report (APR), the Consolidated Annual Performance and Evaluation
Report (CAPER), HUD's Integrated Disbursement and Information System
(IDIS), data verification and data clean up efforts, and performance
measurement tools and systems for HOPWA grantees.
The session is designed for new and experienced HUD field office
staff with responsibility for reviewing performance data on HOPWA
activities conducted by formula and competitive grantees. Participants
responsible for verifying data, providing technical assistance and
conducting monitoring reviews will find this session helpful.
Objectives:
1. A sound understanding of reporting requirements for competitive
and formula grantees, including the new CAPER format;
2. Assist grantees in the clean up efforts of HOPWA data and to
ensure accurate, timely and complete data is submitted for year
end reports and future due dates, and
3. Understand the importance of performance measurements systems
and outcomes.
