Inspectors: Active / Inactive Status
All inspectors must complete at least one inspection every 180 days and change their individual passwords every 60 days in order to maintain their "Active" status.

Inspector Sources
The REAC inspector source list includes
inspectors who are currently REAC approved and working for organizations that have contracts with HUD to perform inspection services. The list has been expanded to include individuals acting independently, who may or may not be associated with an organization.

Maintaining Active Certification
Requirements for inspectors to maintain active certification in the use of the UPCS protocol can be found in Inspector Notice No. 2002-02 Inspector Administration Business Rules, which became effective January 20, 2006.

Inspector Contact Information
All Inspectors must routinely provide Inspector Administration with current and accurate contact information, i.e., Home Telephones, Cell Telephones, Home Addresses, and E-Mail Addresses. Inspectors listed on the "REAC Certified and Active Inspectors" web page should periodically review their individual listing for accuracy. For guidance and answers, please contact Inspector Administration at: reac_inspector_admin@hud.gov
