Erroneous Structure Type

- -
 Information by State
 Print version

Structure types may be modified by the HA User. Use the definitions and examples in the Job Aid for Configuring Buildings & Units. After making the changes, submit the data in IMS-PIC to the Field Office for approval. You will be notified when it has been approved.
Download the Job Aid for Configuring Buildings and Units. Find the example that best fits your building. Generally speaking, if there is a separate outside entrance for each unit, then it is a Row/Townhouse (3 or more units) or semi-detached (2 units). If it has units with inside entrances, then it is either a multi-family/walkup (no elevator) or elevator structure. A non-dwelling structure type contains no dwelling units and is used for activities such as (but not limited to) office space, storage, maintenance facilities, garages, community centers and meeting rooms. Enter the building type and click "Save" (lower right corner). You may have to scroll down and to the right to see the "Save" button.
