Erroneous or Modified Unit Status

- -
 Information by State
 Print version

Unit status may be modified "Vacant or Otherwise Occupied" by the HA User. Some status changes can be made by an HA User but others must be made by HUD Field Office staff.

When making a change to the unit status, a dialogue box opens and requests a comment (to explain why the change is needed). After entering the comment, click "Save" and the system will then permit you to choose the reason.

"Vacant or Otherwise Occupied" Reasons (entered by HA or HUD User):

  • Vacant due to make ready or lease up time
  • Occupied by non-assisted person providing tenant or neighborhood-oriented services
  • Occupied by a police officer
  • Vacant as a result of court litigation
  • Vacant Demo-Dispo pending
  • Vacant due to casualty loss
  • Vacant due to market conditions
  • Vacant due to natural disaster
  • Vacant undergoing modernization

  • Non-dwelling unit used for anti-drug activities
  • Non-dwelling unit used for economic self-sufficiency services
  • Non-dwelling unit used for other purposes
After the changes are made, submit the Development data in IMS-PIC to the Field Office for approval. You will be notified when it has been approved.
