Medicare Open Enrollment Begins on November 15, 2006

Residents who were eligible in 2006, to enroll in the Prescription Drug Medicare D program but were undecided about participation and those residents who have now become eligible to participant in the program should be informed that the 2007 open enrollment begins November 15, 2006 and ends December 31, 2006 for coverage effective January 1, 2007. All eligible resident aware of this opportunity.

Current Medicare D recipients are encouraged to take the time to complete the "Rx Enrollment Check-Up" in the attached publications to help them decide whether the coverage under their current Medicare health or prescription drug plans will meet their needs in 2007. If they are satisfied with their current plan, they do not need to re-enroll. If they are not satisfied with their current plan they can enroll in a different plan during the open enrollment period. Please pass along the attached publications to people you know that have Medicare.
