Confirming the Proposal

Before finalizing the proposal, make sure that you verify its major points. A simple information check will save you time and trouble later. The following suggested activities are designed to help you make a deal with confidence:

  1. Get the proposal in writing
  2. Make a copy of the original proposal to highlight important information
    • Number of refrigerators ordered
    • Price per refrigerator (tax and fees included)
    • Length of warranty
    • Dates of shipping
    • Hauling and disposal of old units
  3. Mark up the proposal with suggested terms and send to partner
  4. Negotiate terms to satisfaction of both parties
  5. Request a new proposal reflecting agreed terms
  6. Finalize the deal
  7. Thank the partner
