General Information

The District of Columbia Housing Authority (DCHA) manages 7,784 public housing units, as well as an additional 10,031 Housing Choice Vouchers as of the end of FY 2006.

Status

The DCHA signed their MTW agreement in 2003 and began preparations for implementation. They submitted their first Annual Plan for review in 2003.

Goals

DCHA's MTW program is known as "Creative Living Solutions." DCHA will use the MTW program to achieve the following objectives:

  1. Develop enhanced housing opportunities
  2. Sustain quality property management
  3. Achieve effective customer support services
  4. Organized efficient business-like operating systems
