Housing Voucher Program Support Division (PSD)

 Information by State
 Print version

Primary Function: Systems Development/Integration, Reporting/Analysis and Planning.

The Housing Voucher Program Support Division is responsible for the management, reporting, and analysis of program data generated through the collection and transactional systems that support the various programs. The PSD supports ad hoc inquiries as well as preparatory reporting to guide field and QAD compliance reviews of Public Housing and Non-Profit Agencies that administer Housing Voucher programs. PSD manages the "baseline" data that is used to forecast and formulate budgets, and is involved in funds assignment and funds control activities.

The PSD provides technical expertise to manage and coordinate the different systems that support or are a part of the HCV program. Systems include but are not limited to VMS, TRACS as part of the EA Initiaitve, PIC, HUDCAPS, PAS/LOCS, SAGIS and the REAC operational systems. This includes the roles of sponsor, coordinator, representative, GTM/GTR, technical writer and systems analyst.

The PSD currently provides reports that are used by upper management and the FMC on a regular or as-needed basis. Statistical techniques of trend and risk analysis are implemented to further aid management and the PHAs with their business operations.

The PSD utilizes data and reports to recommend improvements or modifications to the Housing Choice Voucher Program in order to implement more efficient operations or cost saving measures. Processes and procedures are developed and/or reviewed for completeness to enable efficient continuity of operations.
