Below are instructions for downloading, saving and naming PHA Plan template files using Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.0 and above:

1. Go to the PHA Plan web site template page.
2. Right click on the file you want to download and select "Save Target As...". The Save As window will appear.




3. Select the directory on your local drive (c:\<Your Folder>) where you want to save the file from the "Save In:" dropdown listbox.




4. For the PHA Plans template file, rename your file to "<Your PHA Code>v<version number>" in the "File Name" textbox.

Note: The PHA Plans template file should be saved as: "Your PHA code, v and the version number." For example if your PHA code is NY001 and this is your first version, then your PHA Plans file should be saved as "NY001v01."

If you do not rename your file in this format then the system cannot guarantee that your file will be successfully submitted to your local HUD office.




5. Click "Save".
6. Open and complete the document in the preferred file format (e.g.- MS Word, WordPerfect, RTF).
