1st National Urban Indian Housing Conference

March 27-30, 2001, Seattle, WA Expanding the Circle: Building the Foundation for Self-sufficiency

Sixty three percent of the Native American population now lives in urban areas. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Office of Native American Programs conducted the first National Urban Indian Housing Conference on March 27 - 28 in Seattle, WA. This was the first conference of its kind to be held in many several years.

and tribal Indian housing practitioners, planners, lenders, business developers and other Indian leaders to discuss what's working, who's participating and other efforts in the planning and creation of housing and revitalization development for urban Indian communities.
