Homeownership Centers insure single family FHA mortgages and oversee the selling of HUD homes. The Atlanta Homeownership Center serves the states of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee, as well as the Caribbean.

Housing Counseling Agency Data System: HUD's new automated Housing Counseling System (HCS) is now available to HUD Home Ownership Centers (HOCs) and HUD-Approved Housing Counseling Agencies (HCA), and must be used to update agency data. Agencies that require help should contact their HUD HOC to obtain and ID and Password for login. HCA and HUD staff will use this system to update agency profile/contact information and to submit annual HUD-9902 reports.
