Nonprofit training Webcast: Learn online how Nonprofit Agencies can become approved to participate in FHA's Single Family Activities. View the program without captions or View it with captions

Nonprofit Data Management System (NPDMS) training Webcast: Learn online about FHA's new web-based database management system for FHA approved Nonprofits. Functions are provided for application, recertification, tracking inventory of REO properties purchased by approved NPOs, performing calculations of approved net development costs, & tracking the resale of properties to qualified buyers. The system will be available soon.

Nonprofit agencies can Subscribe to the Single Family Housing email list. You will get frequent, training and event announcements, mortgagee letters, Grant programs, FHA mortgage limits & notices about your Single Family Nonprofit business.

FHA approved nonprofit agencies are posted online at FHA's nonprofit roster. Check the roster to determine an agencies' approval status.

Did You Know? 		-

Annual reports: Nonprofit agencies approved to buy HUD homes must submit their annual report to FHA every February 1st. Also, all nonprofit agencies must recertify every 2 years. You can calculate your recertification date by looking at the date of your approval letter and adding 2 years. See FHA Mortgagee Letter 2000-08 for all report formats. Also see ML 01-30 and 02-01 for new program requirements. Send your reports to the FHA Homeownership Center that serves your state.


FHA offers community and faith-based nonprofit organizations the opportunity to purchase HUD homes at discounts up to 30 percent under the direct sales program. With this discount, local nonprofit organizations invest in their communities through property rehabilitation and resell to first time homebuyers and low to moderate income families. FHA also offers nonprofit agencies favorable FHA insured mortgage financing terms and opportunities for downpayment assistance programs.
