FHA
has revised our approval regulations to eliminate the approval of Supervised and
Nonsupervised Loan Correspondents. This policy was effective on May 20, 2010.
As a result of this change, FHA is no longer accepting new applications for loan
correspondents. Applicants
are reminded that all new application fees must be paid electronically using the
Department of Treasury's PAY.gov system.
On PAY.gov, click 'by Agency Name" in the left column under 'Find Public
Forms.' Select "H" and then "Housing and Urban Development,"
and again, "Department of Housing and Urban Development." From there,
select the appropriate form. FHA-approved
Title I lenders who would like to obtain Title II approval are required to submit
the Title II approval package, however, applicants are not required to pay the
$1000 application fee. In addition, FHA-approved Title I lenders that plan to
use the same home office for Title II are not required to provide office facility
documentation in the package. The
links to handbooks, forms and Mortgagee Letters (ML) below will assist you with
the lender approval package.
Please
mail the completed application to: U.S. Department of Housing and Urban
Development Attn: Lender Approval and Recertification Division 451 7th
