From: Housing.Counseling Sent: Friday, February 20, 2009 7:10 AM To: 'SF-HOUSING-COUNSELING-L@hudlist.hud.gov' Subject: New HCS Version Housing Counseling Agencies: Validation Error Fixed As you may know, HUD’s Housing Counseling System (HCS) recently experienced an error that caused the agency to drop from public access listing (website and toll free telephone search) when a profile was validated. This error has been corrected. Agencies can again make updates to their profile and safely validate. The check marks for the posting on the web site and telephone search listing will not be affected. Agencies are encouraged to check their profile and make sure that the system reflects the correct public access listing and other information. Improved Navigation The navigation functionality in HCS has also been enhanced. For parent agencies, the agency search is improved to be more intuitive when making filter criteria selections. The “All Active” status selection automatically selects the active statuses of ‘Approved, Participating, & Conditional’, eliminating the need to separately select these 3 active statuses. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact your Government Technical Representative (GTR) or other Program Support Division staff for assistance. This message has gone out to the email addresses provided by all active agencies in HUD’s Housing Counseling Program. All Parent Agencies should make sure their sub-agencies have received this information. Sincerely, Director, Program Support Division Office of Single Family Housing Department of Housing and Urban Development
