FHA Loss mitigation training
This training is for servicing lenders, HUD-approved nonprofit housing counselors. Training includes coverage of FHA Mortgagee Letters with emphasis on retention options, disposition options, timelines for implementation & extension requests. Overviews will be presented on default monitoring system reporting & quality assurance.

November 30, 2009 - FHA LI Webinar. This FREE Webinar training will provide an overview of insuring procedures for lenders who want to become an LI Lender and a refresher for current LI Lenders. The topics will include; common NORs, rejects, case warnings, & TOTAL Scorecard data. Registrants will receive an email confirmation prior to the Webinar with a link, a toll-free dial-in number, & instructions for participating in the training. Registrants must have internet access. ALL TIMES ARE MST. Registration required, no fee.

December 1, 2009 - Denver, Colorado. The Denver Home Ownership Center, 1670 Broadway Denver, CO, 80202, is hosting a two hour seminar and update on the new RESPA Rule. HUD is requiring that loan originators provide borrowers with a standard Good Faith Estimate (GFE) that clearly discloses key loan terms and closing costs and that closing agents provide borrowers with a revised HUD-1 Settlement Statement. Also discussed will be elimination of FHA cap on origination fees. The new RESPA Rules were published November 17, 2008 and will take full effect on January 1, 2010. Guest Presenters are Bart Shapiro, Deputy Director and Andrew Fay, Supervisory Investigative Coordinator, the Office of RESPA and ILS. All questions must be submitted in advance. This event is full. Registration required, no fee.

December 2, 2009 - Santa Ana, CA. RESPA Seminar. HUD is hosting a two hour seminar & update on the new RESPA Rule. December 5, 2009 - Denver, Colorado, Homeownership Fair. Join FHA staff, HUD-approved housing counselors and consumer and government agencies at the "Taking Action Forum for Homeowners and Renters" held on Saturday from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at Centro San Juan Diego, 2830 Lawrence Street. Speak with a housing counselor, attend workshops, learn about available resources. This event is free and open to the public.
