  • fr14mar08 - This proposed rule would simplify and improve the disclosure requirements for mortgage settlement costs to protect consumers.

  • Effective Date Delay - Delay of effective date of the definition of "Required Use" until July 16, 2009.

  • fr29jul02 - This proposed rule would simplify and improve the process of obtaining home mortages and reduce settlement costs for consumers.

  • fr16oct97 - This proposed rule would provide disclosures concerning the functions and fees of mortgage brokers, while protecting consumers from fees which are illegal under RESPA.

    • The Mortgage Broker Contract is a draft form included in proposed rule published in the Federal Register on September 17, 1997. For your convenience, we are providing the contract in several formats. The contract is available as a PDF file. In addition, you may click here to read the text.

      Public Comments are welcome.

  • fr09my97 - This proposed rule adds an exemption for employer payments to employees who make like provider referrals.
