In
rural and urban communities across America, Puerto Rico, and the
U.S. Virgin Islands, there are Neighborhood Networks centers--and
each one is different. Because each community has its own needs
and strengths, there is no single formula for developing programs,
services, and activities.
Center individuality gives stakeholders latitude in determining
what residents want and how those needs can be met. Neighborhood
Networks centers face a number of issues in developing programs--assessing
resident needs, selecting the right programs, generating financial
support, involving residents, building partnerships, and measuring
progress.
