National Partnerships—One Economy

 Information by State

One Economy Corp. connects low-income communities to information and tools they can use to build assets and improve their lives. The organization customized one of their primary vehicles for connecting communities—a Beehive Web site—for the Massachusetts Neighborhood Networks Consortium. The Web site will include locally specific content that will enable residents to locate affordable childcare, determine their eligibility for state and federal social service and healthcare programs, connect with local leaders, search job listings, locate local banks and credit unions, and learn about school choice issues and available special education programs. The Web site will also assist consortium members in communicating with one another by providing free e-mail accounts and a Neighborhood Networks calendar for scheduling upcoming consortium meetings and events. Visit the One Economy Web site for more information.
