National Partnerships—Pro Bono Net, Inc.

 Print version

Pro Bono Net, Inc., partnered with the Neighborhood Networks Technology Access Consortium in Spokane, WA, to help fulfill its mission of increasing access to justice through innovative uses of technology and increased volunteer participation. A local Pro Bono Net, Inc. affiliate identified pro bono lawyers that worked with the consortium on issues relating to nonprofit incorporation and applying for and maintaining 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status. The affiliate also hosted workshops onsite at member centers based upon resident needs (topics included Earned Income Tax Credit, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), etc.), and introduced member centers and participating residents to the organization's LawHelp.org Web site, which is designed to provide legal resources to underserved communities. Visit the Pro Bono Net, Inc. Web site for more information.
