Neighborhood Networks provides potential funding sources to help centers develop and improve programs and services. Featured this week is ServiceMaster.

Headquartered in Memphis, Tennessee, ServiceMaster serves residential and commercial customers through a network of more than 5,500 company-owned locations and franchised licenses. The company's brands include TruGreen, TruGreen LandCare, Terminix, American Home Shield, ServiceMaster Clean, Merry Maids, Furniture Medic, and AmeriSpec. The core services of the company include lawn care and landscape maintenance, termite and pest control, home warranties, disaster response and reconstruction, cleaning and disaster restoration, house cleaning, furniture repair, and home inspection.

Program Areas: ServiceMaster's charitable giving supports organizations that improve the quality of life of residents in the communities the company serves. The company also supports educational programs that ensure sustainability and continued improvement of communities in the coming generations.

ServiceMaster funds programs in all states.

Targeted Area: Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, Midwest, Southwest, and West.

Eligibility: Tax-exempt nonprofit organizations, as defined by Section 501(c)(3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Service Code, are eligible to apply for funding from ServiceMaster.

Award Amount: Award amounts vary.

Application Process: Organizations seeking financial contributions must operate programs compatible with ServiceMaster's areas of focus and complete an application using the company's online application tool. All requests must be submitted online for consideration.

Decisions are made within 30-90 days from receipt of the proposals, and applicants are notified in writing of the decision. Please do not phone the company to determine the status of a request. Financial grants, charitable product donations, and volunteer requests are accepted throughout the year and will be reviewed on a quarterly basis.
