Each week, Neighborhood Networks provides potential funding sources to help centers develop and improve programs and services. Featured this week is Bob Evans Farms Inc.

Program Areas: Bob Evans Farms Inc. provides farm-fresh foods to its customers through restaurants and retail food products. The corporation's philanthropy focuses on families and children, enhancing the quality of life in communities where it operates, including in the states of Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia.

Target Area: Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, Midwest, and Southwest.

Eligibility: Bob Evans Farms Inc. makes grants to Internal Revenue Service (IRS) 501(c)(3) organizations in communities in which it is located.

Award Amount: Award amounts vary.

Application Process: Bob Evans Farms uses an online application form. In addition to providing contact and organization information, the application form also asks applicants to:

 -   List the amount of the donation request.
 -   Describe the purpose of the grant.
 -   Explain how the donation will be used.
 -   Provide a description of the program or event.
 -   Explain how the project will be administered.
 -   Describe the community need that will be fulfilled as a result of this project.
 -   Describe what segment of the population will benefit.
 -   Provide a brief description of the organization.

Deadlines: The deadline for applications is March 1, 2009.
