 Print version

Each week, Neighborhood Networks provides potential funding sources to help centers develop and improve programs and services. Featured this week is Avnet.

Avnet is one of the world's largest industrial distributors of electronic parts, enterprise computing and storage products and embedded subsystems, creating a vital link in the technology supply chain.

Program Areas: Avnet believes in being a responsible corporate citizen in the communities to which it belongs or visits. These communities are located in the states of Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah, Washington, and Wisconsin. One of the ways it achieves this is through charitable contributions. The Avnet Contributions Council distributes targeted funds for corporate giving. Avnet supports organizations, events, or programs related to:

 -   Education, including reading, writing, and computer skills.
 -   Children, including physical well-being (medical, dental) and provisions (clothing, personal items, shelter).
 -   Community, including employee volunteerism and alignment with Avnet's strategic goals.

Targeted Area: Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, Southeast, Midwest, Southwest, and West.

Eligibility: Only nonprofit organizations that the IRS has given 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status will be considered.

Award Amount: Award amounts vary.

Application Process: Organizations interested in receiving a contribution must complete an application and send their request to:

Avnet Contributions Council
