is an innovation-driven, science-centered global healthcare company.
Through its own biopharmaceutical research and collaborations with
partners, Schering-Plough creates therapies that help save and improve
lives around the world. Headquartered in Kenilworth, New Jersey,
Schering-Plough employs 55,000 people and has business operations
in 140 countries.
Program
Areas: Schering-Plough offers funding through the Schering-Plough
Foundation and through its charitable contributions program. The
Schering-Plough Foundation, a nonprofit membership corporation established
in 1955, is dedicated to working with communities to help them realize
their full potential and enhance their quality of life. The foundation
targets its support in three major areas:

Community initiatives, including social/civic
welfare, public policy, culture and the arts and women and minorities.

Schering-Plough's
charitable contributions program provides a variety of contributions,
in-kind participation, and other support in health and education.
Of particular interest are initiatives related to disease areas
in which the company has an interest, including but not limited
to, asthma and allergy, oncology, heart disease, hepatitis C, HIV/AIDS,
infertility, women's health, and mental health. However, the company's
funding and contributions program also provides support to local
initiatives in culture and the arts, increasing opportunities for
women and minorities, social/civic welfare, and public policy.
Schering-Plough funds organizations located in the communities
in which it does business. These are located in the states of
California, Delaware, the District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia,
Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Nebraska, Nevada, New
Jersey, North Carolina, Puerto Rico, and Tennessee.

Eligibility:
Schering-Plough considers requests from tax-exempt, nonprofit organizations
located in the United States, or its possessions, whose goals and
activities fall within its stated objectives and areas of interest.
Support is not given to individuals.

Application
Process: After reviewing the guidelines, the next step is to
complete Schering-Plough's online pre-application
questionnaire. If an organization qualifies for funding, an
application should be completed online. All requests for funding
must be made online and include the following information:

A statement of the major programs and services
rendered by the organization.

Evidence of the organization's tax-exempt status.
