Each week, Neighborhood Networks provides potential funding sources
to help centers develop and improve programs and services. Featured
this week is the Anadarko
Petroleum Corporation.
Anadarko
develops, acquires, and explores for oil and gas resources vital
to the world's health and welfare. Anadarko is equally committed
to be an integral part of the communities in which it operates through
volunteer involvement and contributions to nonprofit organizations.
Program
Areas: Anadarko accepts grant proposals for work in: education,
social service, health, and arts and culture from nonprofit organizations
associated with the communities in Texas, Louisiana, Utah, Wyoming,
and Colorado.
Targeted
Area: Southeast, Southwest, West.
Eligibility:
Anadarko funds organizations that have Internal Revenue Service
501(c)(3) status. Anadarko's community grants are generally not
given to:

Organizations without 501(c)(3) status.

Organizations that are not geographically located
in areas where Anadarko operates.

Individuals. |
|
Sporting events or organizations. |
|
Film and video projects. |
|
Individual United Way agencies. |
Anadarko
supports area United Way campaigns through North America.
Award
Amount: Award amounts vary.
Application Process: Grant proposals should include:

Organizational information, including the mission,
the need addressed, and the population served.

A list of foundation and corporate supporters,
as well as other sources of income (with amounts) for the previous
fiscal year and the current fiscal year to date.

Project description, including purpose, the need
addressed, the population served, current budget, and list of
funders.

|
A complete copy of IRS Form 990 and the organization's
most recent IRS 501(c)(3) determination letter. |
