Neighborhood Networks Week 2006 -- July 31 - August 5

 Information by State

Neighbors are the building blocks of a community. Neighbors offer encouragement, lend support, and fill us with a sense of belonging. Yet, in today's busy world, it is easy to lose touch with people who live next door, around the corner, or across the way. And when neighbors drift apart, the community weakens.

This year's Neighborhood Networks Week recognizes the vital role neighbors play in strengthening communities. Take part in the weeklong celebration by joining centers across the country to bring neighbors together, showcase your center's commitment to the community, and renew community spirit.
