Have you been wondering how your center can participate in Neighborhood Networks Week 2009? How about hosting a local event? What about joining fellow Neighborhood Networks stakeholders from around the country for one of the national events that will be Web cast by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)? No matter how you participate, Neighborhood Networks Week is your time to shine.

Neighborhood Networks Week 2009 is scheduled for August 3-8. The weeklong national observance is the ideal time to pay tribute to all those who dedicate their time and energy to making the Initiative a success, recognize the achievements of those who take advantage of the resources offered at their local Neighborhood Networks center, promote center programs and success, increase awareness of the Initiative, and strengthen the community.

More information on Neighborhood Networks Week 2009, as well as resources designed to help centers plan successful local events, can be found on the Neighborhood Networks Web site or by calling the Neighborhood Networks Information Center toll-free at (888) 312-2743. The hearing impaired may access the number via TTY by calling the Federal Information Relay Service at (800) 877-8339.
