Benefits of Neighborhood Networks for Youth

- -
 Information by State
 Print version

Key recipients of Neighborhood Networks services are children and youth, who are given an environment that promotes academic achievement and opportunities for personal growth.

Some of the activities centers offer children and youth include:

 -   Afterschool homework assistance.
 -   Computer access for children whose families cannot afford their own.
 -   National partnerships that foster interest in science and math, such as NASA's Imagine Mars Project.
 -   Learning opportunities, such as the ThinkQuest Internet Challenge Competition.
 -   Programs and services that help older youth make important vocational, academic, and career choices.
