ABC's of Homeownership: HUD and IRS

- -
 Information by State
 Print version

Description:

As house prices and interest rates drop and the number of home listings soar, now is a great time to make the transition from renter to homeowner. Many organizations, including the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) provide information that can aid renters in purchasing and maintaining a home. From homebuyer information to Individual Development Accounts (IDAs) to Earned Income Tax Credits (EITC), hear from representatives of HUD and the IRS on how participants can help residents reap the rewards of homeownership.
