Dear Neighborhood Networks Supporter:
I am pleased to invite you to participate in the Neighborhood Networks National Training Conference—Connecting Residents to Opportunities—in Washington, DC, and join corporations, government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and Neighborhood Networks centers as an exhibitor.
Neighborhood
Networks, a community-based initiative, was established in 1995
by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to
enhance and enrich the lives of low-income residents through multi-service
technology learning centers. Today, more than 1,000 Neighborhood
Networks centers are in operation throughout the United States,
Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
This
year's Neighborhood Networks conference will feature sessions and
events that will focus on the vital role that Neighborhood Networks
centers play in helping residents achieve their goals. In addition
to offering a multitude of concurrent sessions on a variety of topics
such as partnerships, staffing, and workforce development, we will
provide extended training sessions on topics such as fundraising,
national partnerships, technical assistance, and obtaining no- or
low-cost hardware and software. Exhibitors will be invited to provide
shorter trainings to showcase their products and services and to
capitalize on the contact with attendees.
Your
exhibit at the conference would be in a very visible, high-traffic
area to maximize exposure. The National Director will officially
open exhibit hall for a half-hour to bring full attention to it
immediately following the opening plenary session, and there will
be plenty of other opportunities each day for participants to visit
your display. All refreshment breaks will be held in the exhibit
area to encourage interaction as well.
We
hope that you join us to take advantage of the opportunity to network
with new center directors and staff, residents, property owners
and managers, partners, government officials and staff, as well
as representatives of nonprofit organizations and the media, and
to build on relationships with Neighborhood Networks stakeholders.
Your participation in the conference will provide a mutually beneficial
experience for attendees whose main objective is to further the
Neighborhood Networks program goals of improving technology access
and providing crucial social services to help low- and moderate-income
residents of HUD communities.
We
look forward to seeing you at the Conference!
Sincerely,

Delores
